YO
OK they're gonna be even MORE impressed with this. I actually looked up bus rides from Boston to NY. I shopped around and we would take the Lucky Star bus line which leaves every hour. It would cost 30$ roundtrip for each of us. We would depart from boston at 11:00 AM on June 8 and from NY at 3:00 PM June 10.
Also if they want info on my grandpa: he's Jewish, born of Russian immigrants. He graduated from NYU in 1948. He was a doctor until about ten years ago when he retired. He leaves alone since my grandma died six months ago.

OK OK
OK OK. looks like this thing ain't goin down. BUT just in the effort to convince y'all's parents I wanted to make two suggestions:
1) Tell them they can talk to me!
2) You should appear very informed, like you're totes on top of everything and have lots of contingency plans. So THAT MEANS you should have in mind a very specific itinerary.
OK here's the specific itinerary to use, we can obv modify this if need be but just having one is what's important for now.
So. Let's suppose the trip is June 8-10. We would all gettogetha at the greyhound bus station at around noon on the 8th. We would take the bus for four hours and take a taxi from the bus station to my grandfather's apartment. (we could also take the subway if they're comfy with that). We would stow all our stuff in his apartment and then spend the rest of the afternoon and night in Park slope. (we'd be on a budget so we could buy food at an outdoor market and have a picnic in the park before sunset) and then right around sunset we would go back to the apartment and chill and plan out specifics for the next day. OK then the morning of June 9 we would have a quick breakfast and get on the subway for manhattan, we would spend the morning at MOMA and the afternoon on seventh ave. (we would have maps etc.) that night we would see a movie in time square and immediately afterward (say 9:30 to keep it "safe") we would take the subway back to the apt. the NEXT day we would pack in the morning and say goodbye to my grandpa and then bring all our stuff by taxi to my mom's friend's house in manhattan. we'd go from there to the guggenheim and then have lunch in time square and then shop sommor around time square then go back to the friend's apt. pick up our stuff, go to the bus station and go home!.
BAM. so remember that and pitchit to ya parents.
AND REMEMBER 2 emphasize that we'll be adhering to a VERY specific set of plans + maps and stuff.

fromage!
k hi so I'm gonna be in France:
23 July - 13 August
Also going to New York for me is sort of... uhh rejected by my mom but maybeee we can work something out with my dad or somethin.
and going to Canada might not happen for me, because apparently the dates were randomly switched to the last two weeks of July, but my mom didn't know that so she went ahead and bought these tickets. She found a smashing price!
And also for the month of June I'll probably be doing community service four hours a day/five days a week for two weeks, so I can get my 40 hours done.
k, bye

NEW YOHK
OK so, here's the deal. I talked to Talia and it looks like our only overlap is the week after school ends (June 5-12) and a week in August (23-30). I think it'd be better to go sometime during the former week so that we could do it again in August if we wanted and because I might end up having plans the latter week. Sound good? If so, consult your parent(s) and check if you'd be allowed to go and when works. Say we'd be going for two days between June 6 and 12; we'd stay in Park Slope (very safe/family friendly) in (unless y'all can suggest somewhere else) my friendly grandfather's apartment. On excursions we would keep to crowded touristy places and walk for the most part (as opposed to taking the train.) We'd take a bus to get there. (we can budget things out once we know it's ON).
IGHT. you got all that?

Yah OK here's the first post
SO you know that message I just sent you? Well I haven't sent it at the time of writing. It is currently MAY 4! OK? I don't plan on sending that message for a few days which means I am currently inside of a TIME CAPSULE. OK for posterity I'm going to make a few historical notes: 1) Everyone is going to die of swine flu. 2) Anika is on the market. 3) My right shoelace is sort of loose.
You all are going to look back on this in a few days and marvel at how things used to be.
Now my summer, as promised. I will be away during the following intervals:
June 13 - 28
August 16 - 23
August 30 - September 6.
PEACE
