you GUYS! My summer just keeps getting more EXCITING.
the latest:

i complained to my mom that my knees had been hurting so...
last night my mum looked at my knees and said that they look...deformed.
so then she felt my kneecaps and said that there was a lot of fluid underneath them. yum.
So sometime soon, I 'm going to see the doc and they're going to perform a spinal tap...on my KNEES. what? yup. you heard me. it's called joint aspiration. but whatever.
Then they're gonna test the fluid to make sure that I don't have an infection and hopefully all goes well. but I'M REALLY SCARED because i HATE needles (i always feel like i spell the word needle wrong) and i have a super low pain tolerance.
And according to yahoo answers, it's really painful.
On the other hand, maybe I could get out of sports for a while...

EEEEEKKKKK.
anyway. I'm done for now.

I'm getting a brother you guys!
No, my 50+ single mom is not having a baby but her best friend's son from switzerland is coming to live with us (and learn english/study music and stuff) for....

THREE MONTHS.

I mean his mom is like my second, long-lost swiss momma(She sends me care packages and postcards and calls me on my birthday! What a fine figure of a woman.) but i never pictured her sons as my bros. Now our parents keep emailing saying,
"Oh, Aurelie will be the sister he never had..."
"Oh, Corentin will be the brother she never had..."

But yah. It's exciting stuff (!)
His name is Corentin, he's 21, speaks french, and doesn't eat fish.
That's about all I know.
Oh yah... he plays the tuba and euphonium and worships Bob Marley.

He's coming on SUNDAY. which is like...super soon and I'm excited and freaked at the same time. Hopefully he's cool and not awkward. But I'm assuming he's cool and awkward. He's a momma's boy.

Second of all, I am unbelievably excited for math this year. On sept. 8 Mr. Sherry, Mr. Riahi and I are all meeting about it. YAYYY also you all know about my little math club (of which xander unfortunately will not be a member). Anyway I really can't wait.

Also they moved the lounge to the fourth floor? What the fuck?? I talked to some of the kids who planned on inhabiting that room last night and they are all PRETTY DISGRUNTLED, going so far as to plan on staying in the Dartmouth lobby (!). We'll see how this unfolds....

Hiya every1.

So Layla and Talia already know this and Aurelie this is kind of really out of context but I figured I'd write it anyway since this blog in its capacity as a history of this summer would be incomplete without it: Anna and I broke up today. We were going to anyway before she went to go to college but we decided it would be better to do it now. So thats really sad. And I'm really sad. That's it.

this is more of a facebook wall post but whatevs.

i visited college.
it was booring.
i saw maad poser kids.
philly's a cool city btw.
i sat on a stoop in bed-stuy for four hours, didn't get shot, listened to music on a huge ass boombox and felt really cool. actually i was really cool. but i wasn't wearing colorful sneakers which diminished my coolness by 2.5 points.
i also watched a spike lee movie called "do the right thing" which takes place in bed-stuy and it was really good. so ya better netflix dat RIGHT now.
also, i haven't done like ANY summer reading. fml.
and people need to stop talking about health care. NOW.
oh and i saw this chinese movie called "lust caution"
gotta love dem raunchy espionnage thrillers set in the 1940s. it was good. don't watch it wit ya 'rents.
and i need new headphones!

Rest of the Summer

so since new york and in the time between new york and peru ive basikly been chillen with xander n josh a lot and david and layla a little and talia a little and hella amounts with suzy freeman which is kinda cool. she's a nice gurl in my opinion. o and hella hella amounts with anna swartz obv.

ALSO ive been hanging out a lot with this girl sana jamal who is from QATAR and whom josh and zack and david met at the beginning of summer on the street and have been hanging with since.

so yeah THATZ pretty much it ill write more of i think of it.

New York

OK New York was equally balllllllllinnnnnnnnnn. basikly i stayed in my grandpappy's apartment as planned but for a week instead of three days with anna swartz and we had a good time chillin around new york and in the apartment. we watched a 16 and pregnant MARATHON which was pretty cool. i wont elaborate on everything we did but here's the facebook album:

Peru

wow OK so basically summer went by or almost since i last posted which is kinda WEIRD TAH THINK. but anyway here's the deal:

Peru: goodtymez all around. here are som excerpts of messages i sent home during that period:

"OK so heres what happend. basically xander suzy, benzo and i went out into lima to get us some camilles ex bee eff and so basically we hung around this one place and found some thuggy lookin kids and asked them what was up with the sitch. so they took us in and one of them guided me and xander to the slumz of lima and was tellin us about how we shud be careful cuzz his friends walk up and down this street and mug kids and there are little kiddy gangs with guns and sabers and shit but its no big deal and so then he went off to buy some drugs and xander and i chilled and contemplated the epicosity of sitting ina real live slum where there was a real live risk of being fuckin knifed and stuff. but o the epicosity just increased. so the guys dealer wasnt there so he led us to an even slummier area and called over this adultish dood who kept shivering and smaking his forarm and then some other adultish people glommed on and we were all walking in a pack and then i dumbly took out my iphone to check the time and so one of them was like o u guys rich? and we were like uhhh.... and then the junky came up behind me and put his arm around my neck and then i fuckin pulled him and myself to the ground and then the three other guys converged on us and i was kiking around ont he ground desperately and then the guys ran off and we were left shaken but they didnt get anyhting so its all good and basically we had a really epic life experience."

"xander and i went into gautam and russels room where peter hall and sylvia were just for kicks and we asked whatt hey were talking about and peter was like "female anatomy and menstruation and stuff" and xander and i ran away and they looked madd embarrassed.

ALSO today was camilles birthday and jason went through madd struggles trying to light the candles with his lighter and someone had to do it for him and it was hilare."

"ALSO today jason was being an asshole to alex droznin israel and rui wang turned around and incongruously shouted "SHUT THE FUCK UP" and it was hilare. and jason relly got salted.

ALSO ALSO we were in lima and some little peruvian biddys acostd xander and made him pose in a photo.

ALSO ive gotten madd insight into suzys relaysh with josh. ill tell you all about it when i return."

"ALSO our tour guide Fredie is a professor of tourism and yesterday his whole class put on this elaborate show for us and afterward we got into small groups for a "cultural exchange" during which i attempted to explain in spanish the complexities of racism in america and we discussed popular music. WHICH WAS REALLY AWK because they asked about the J broz and we were chuckling talking about how only little girls listen to them and THEN these five 20 year old men admitted squeamishly that THEY LISTEN to the J broz TOO. mayjuhly awkward."
