Peru

wow OK so basically summer went by or almost since i last posted which is kinda WEIRD TAH THINK. but anyway here's the deal:

Peru: goodtymez all around. here are som excerpts of messages i sent home during that period:

"OK so heres what happend. basically xander suzy, benzo and i went out into lima to get us some camilles ex bee eff and so basically we hung around this one place and found some thuggy lookin kids and asked them what was up with the sitch. so they took us in and one of them guided me and xander to the slumz of lima and was tellin us about how we shud be careful cuzz his friends walk up and down this street and mug kids and there are little kiddy gangs with guns and sabers and shit but its no big deal and so then he went off to buy some drugs and xander and i chilled and contemplated the epicosity of sitting ina real live slum where there was a real live risk of being fuckin knifed and stuff. but o the epicosity just increased. so the guys dealer wasnt there so he led us to an even slummier area and called over this adultish dood who kept shivering and smaking his forarm and then some other adultish people glommed on and we were all walking in a pack and then i dumbly took out my iphone to check the time and so one of them was like o u guys rich? and we were like uhhh.... and then the junky came up behind me and put his arm around my neck and then i fuckin pulled him and myself to the ground and then the three other guys converged on us and i was kiking around ont he ground desperately and then the guys ran off and we were left shaken but they didnt get anyhting so its all good and basically we had a really epic life experience."

"xander and i went into gautam and russels room where peter hall and sylvia were just for kicks and we asked whatt hey were talking about and peter was like "female anatomy and menstruation and stuff" and xander and i ran away and they looked madd embarrassed.

ALSO today was camilles birthday and jason went through madd struggles trying to light the candles with his lighter and someone had to do it for him and it was hilare."

"ALSO today jason was being an asshole to alex droznin israel and rui wang turned around and incongruously shouted "SHUT THE FUCK UP" and it was hilare. and jason relly got salted.

ALSO ALSO we were in lima and some little peruvian biddys acostd xander and made him pose in a photo.

ALSO ive gotten madd insight into suzys relaysh with josh. ill tell you all about it when i return."

"ALSO today i got some wine with my lunch and xander and i sipped it and smoked a cigarette inside this restaurant while the whole lot of us (every1 from the day before plus dylan) talked about how solitary confinement fucks people up and i quoted extensively from the new yorker article on the subject and felt really cool. "

"ALSO our tour guide Fredie is a professor of tourism and yesterday his whole class put on this elaborate show for us and afterward we got into small groups for a "cultural exchange" during which i attempted to explain in spanish the complexities of racism in america and we discussed popular music. WHICH WAS REALLY AWK because they asked about the J broz and we were chuckling talking about how only little girls listen to them and THEN these five 20 year old men admitted squeamishly that THEY LISTEN to the J broz TOO. mayjuhly awkward."
